OBITUARY: 

Calvin Cyril Plant
Late resident of 1030 Oakhill Ave. SE, Salem, May 19th, at a local nursing home. Survived by niece Miss Mildred I. Clark, Salem. Services will be held Saturday, May 21st at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Virgil T. Golden Co. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Rev. W. Harold Lyman will officiate.

Long Illness Takes Life of Calvin Plant
Calvin Plant, 67, long-time resident of Salem, died Thursday at a Salem nursing home after a long illness. His residence was at 1030 Oak Hill Ave. SE.
Plant served as assistant sexton at Salem Pioneer Cemetery for many years. His father, James Plant, was former sexton at the cemetery.
Calvin Plant was born at Brooks, Nov. 26, 1892. He served with the Army in World War I.
Only survivor is a niece, Miss Mildred Clark, Salem.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Virgil T. Golden chapel, with interment at Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
