OBITUARY: 
GUH - At St. Vincent's hospital in Portland, Or., Friday, September 27, 1901, of abcess of the bowels, Mrs. Walter D. Pugh, of Salem, aged 32 years.
Mrs. Pugh has been in ill health for the last six weeks, and last week was taken to Portland for treatment, where an operation was performed on her last Saturday, from the effects of which she never fully recovered.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Rhodes, of this city. Her father is now in Alaska. In 1885 she was married to Walter D. Pugh, the well-known architect. She leaves three children, Inez, age 15, Allan, aged 13, and Albert, age 10; also two brothers Clyde and Albert Rhodes. The remains will be brought home from Portland this evening and the funeral services will then be arranged for.
