OBITUARY: 
MRS. LENA BOWER DIES 
Mother of Deputy Sheriff Will Be Buried in This City. 
Mrs. Lena Bower, formerly of this city, and mother of Deputy Sheriff O. D. Bower, died at Oakland, Oregon, early yesterday morning. Deputy Sheriff Bower left early yesterday for Oakland and will bring the body to this city for burial. Mrs. Bower was 84 years old. She was living at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kate Beckley at the time of her death. Mrs. Bower came to Oregon in 1872. Her husband Jacob Bower, died several years ago. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Kate Beckley, of Oakland, and Mrs. Mary L. Ash, who resides in Illinois, and three sons, Phil F. Bower, of Astoria, Oscar D. Bower, of this city, and George Bower of Illinois. The interment will be held in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in this city at a date to announced later.
