OBITUARY: 
Clare Ridgeway, 56, of 3830 Mahrt SE Ave., died Thursday in a local hospital from an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Salem and was a route salesman for Gideon-Stolz Company.
He was a member of Elks, American Legion, Veteran's of Foreign War, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Faye; daughters, Susan Mentzer, Independence, and Cindy Schwarz, Aumsville; three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rigdon-Ransom mortuary and interment in Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Ritualistic services will be held in the Salem Elks Lodge.
