OBITUARY: 
At the family home in South Salem, Tuesday evening, Oct. 29, 1895, of brain trouble, Lizzie M., wife of T. C. Retherford, aged 36 years. 
Deceased was a native of Pennsylvania, the year of her birth being 1859. In 1861 she moved with her parents to LaSalle county, Ill., and 7 years later to Champaign county, where she was married to Mr. Retherford on December 20, 1882. 
In 1889 they moved to Oregon, coming to Salem where they have since resided. She leaves a husband and six children - boys, the oldest 12 years, the youngest 5 days - to mourn her demise, also a father, mother and one sister in Illinois and a brother, C. T. Doty, of Salem. The funeral will be held at the residence at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon, the service to be conducted by Rev. I. B. Fisher of the Evangelical church.
