DEATH CERTIFICATE:
OBITUARY:
De NURE -- At the residence of her mother, Mrs. A. F. Cox, on Winter street, between Chemeketa and Center, at 4 o'clock p.m., Thursday, September 3d, 1885, Epsie F., wife of B. B. De Nure, at the age of 28 years and 8 months. The deceased was born in this county in 1858 and in 1876 was married to B. B. De Nure, and in the autumn of 1878 they moved to Walla Walla, W. T., where Mrs. De Nure made many friends, and where her singing, which came from a voice rich and sweet in tone, attracted much attention, as it had in this city. While there she was taken very sick, and has never recovered. The disease with which she was stricken gradually changed into consumption, and they returned here in the summer of 1883. Since then she has gradually declined in health, until yesterday, when her spirit took its flight to "that bourne whence traveler ne'er returns." The remains will be laid to rest in mother earth at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Christian church. A host of friends join with the bereaved husband, mother, brother and sisters, in mourning her loss. A vacancy is among the people not easily refilled
