OBITUARY: 
Horseman Dies. 
John Salvage, about 30 years of age, died yesterday at Willamette Sanitarium. He was a horseman and came here during the State Fair from California. He was accompanied by a Mr. Ward, of Portland, who remained with him during his illness. The body is a Rigdon's undertaking parlors awaiting word from the sister of the deceased, who is in San Diego, Cal.

John Savage's Funeral. John Savage, a horseman from California, who became ill here during the state fair and died Thursday, will be buried today, instructions having been received from his sister to that effect. Daily Oregon Statesman 25 Sep 1909 5:3.
