He was a paper mill laborer, died on January 26, 1938 at his home 1665 N. 5th St., Salem, and buried on Jan. 28, 1938 by Walker & Howell at IOOF cemetery, January 28, 1938.

OBITUARY: 

Deppen - Marion Deppen, late resident of 1666 North Fifth street, January 26, at the age of 67 years. Survived by widow, Minnie Deppen, and daughter, Lavina Deppen. Funeral services Friday, January 28, from the Walker & Howell Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Concluding services I.O.O.F. cemetery, Rev. Guy L. Drill officiating.
