BIOGRAPHICAL:
THE PANTHEON
Portland, High-Class, Business Men's Resort - Grant Scott, Proprietor
Unquestioningly one of the finest fitted up and best conducted establishment of its kind on the coast is "The Pantheon," conveniently located at 130 Third street between Washington and Alder. The fixtures are made of California redwood, beautifully carved; these, in conjunction with artistic plate and stained glass effecrs, as well as ample light, gave an air of elegance and substantiality in conformity with the first-class reputation which this place enjoys.
Grant Scott, the proprietor, by strict attention to all details, conducting this popular resort on business principles, and making it a study to supply his patrons with the best quality of everything, has won unprecedented praise. He makes a specialty of handling only the very finest genuine Kentucky whiskeys, which he buys direct from the distilleries in large quantities, thus insuring the absolute purity and fine quality. He is not subject to the dictates of any one, and never handles cheap or adulterated decoctions. The merchants' lunches served at The Pantheon are always appreciated. Mr. Scoot had been identified with the business some 15 years, having been established in his present quarters four years.
