JOSEPH HOYT
"Dead, yet shall he live again. " A kind friend, a loving husband, an indulgent father, and a worthy citizen, sleeps his las sleep, as gently and as peaceful as if naught disturbed, now that he is released from disease, and death that followed in the train. Soon the clods of the valley will hide from the view the mortality that contained the spirit of our friend, yet in the hearts of his friends, his genial presence and memory will ever find place, and be cherished by those who best knew him.  He is gone. Has finished his labors on this beautiful earth, his spirit to his God who gave it, and his body to mingle with the dust. In his life respected, in his death, not forgotten, his kindly acts will live on until memory's hall is deserted.  Kind friend, farewell.
