Mar 1832 in Canada, and his wife of 23 years, Isabell, age 60, mother of 9 children 5 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Mar 1840 in Indiana. 
1920 OR CENSUS - Omar H. Borthwick, age 49, occupation stock farmer, b. Illinois, is enumerated with Ruby N. [M], age 32, b. Oregon, along with Eldon O., age 13, b. Oregon, and Addie L., age 7, b. Oregon.
1930 OR CENSUS - Omar H. Borthwick, age 49, married at age 23, occupation farmer, b. Illinois, is enumerated with wife Ruby, age 42, married at age 17, b. Oregon, along with Addie L., age 17, b. Oregon.

OBITUARY: 
Long Time Area Rancer Dies
Funeral services were held last Saturday at the Madras Evergreen Chapel for Omar H. Borthwick, Antelope, long time central Oregon rancher and resident who died at  the age of 86 years early on the morning of Nov. 9 at a Bend nursing home.
Borthwick had been under care at the nursing home for about the last three months.
Born Sept. 8, 1880 at Kinderhook, Illinois, Borthwick came west as a young man and has been a resident of the Central Oregon area since 1901.
He followed the ranching industry here until his retirement.
Surviving are a son, Eldon Borthwick, Antelope; two brothers, James of Berry, Ill., and William of Honolulu, T.H.  Three grandchildren and nine treat grandchildren also survive.
The Reb. Lawrence Ferguson, pastor of the St. Mark's Episcopal church in Madras, officiated at the funeral services which were followed by interment at Mr. Jefferson Memorial Park.  Judy Simmons was organist and Ronald McDonald soloist for the service.
Serving as pall bearers were Lanis R. Metteer, H. Stephen Chubb, Richard S. Forman, Ronald E. Metteer, Roy Forman Jr. and Gary Dickson.
