May 1855 in New York, mother of 6 children.  Also enumerated in the household are Marie Ehmer, identified as daughter [of Ferdinand], age 25, b. May 1875 in Illinois, and her husband Andrew E. Ehmer, identified as son-in-law [of Ferdinand], occupation mftr of monuments, b. Aug 1869 Germany, year of immigration 1884, along with Adelaide A. Schindler, age 18, b. Dec 1881 in Illinois, Clara L. Schindler, age 16, b. Nov 1883 in Illinois, Hattie F. Schindler, age 13, b. Jun 1886 in Illinois, and Thomas J., age 10, b. Jan 1890 in Illinois.

OBITUARY: 
EHMER--At the family home, 294 High street, Salem, Oregon, Wednesday, June 15, 1904, at 5 o'clock p.m., Amy Pauline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Ehmer, aged 5 years, of membranous croup. 
The deceased child came to this city with her parents just one year previous to the day of her death. She was a member of the Salem Kindergarten and of the Methodist Sunday school, and was a favorite among her playmates, who deeply mourn the loss of their little friend. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon and the services will be conducted by Rev. W. C. Kantner, in the absence from the city of Rev. William H. Heppe. Burial will be made in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
