BEARD--At Boulder, Colorado, March 3, Herbert Charles Beard, Jr., 37. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Alvera Beard; three sons, Melvin, Robert and Billy, all of Boulder; parents Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Beard of Independence; brothers, William J. and Ralph of Salem, Victor L. Beard of Washougal, Washington; sisters, Mrs. S. F. Illum, Malad City, Idaho, and Mrs. D. W. Thorp, Logan, Utah. Funeral services from the chapel of Clough-Barrick company, Saturday, March 7, at 3:30 p,m. Interment in IOOF cemetery.
