First wife of Lewis Hubbell Judson; married in Otsego, New York August 13, 1831; mother of Leonard Bowdish, Helen Cooper, Anna Maria, all born in Otsego Co., New York, and Robert Thomas Judson, the first white boy born in the city of Salem.

BIOGRAPHICAL:  On August 13, 1831, Miss Almira Roberts was married to [Lewis Hubbell] Judson and entered into aspirations of being a missionary.  
  In 1844 his wife passed away, leaving him with four children.  Two years later he married Miss Nancy Hawkins.   Dobbs, Caroline. MEN OF CHAMPOEG: A RECORD OF THE LIVES OF THE PIONEERS WHO FOUNDED THE OREGON GOVERNMENT. Metropolitan Press, Portland, Oregon, 1932. pgs. 69 & 71.
