1880 OR CENSUS - A. Baughman [sic], age 65, occupation carpenter, b. Saxony, is enumerated with wife Katharine, age 64, b. Belgium.

OBITUARY: 
At his home in The Dalles, Oregon, Friday, March 31, 1899, August Bachman, aged 88 years. Deceased leaves four children to mourn his demise: Mrs. S. D. Cole, of Salem; Mrs. W. Cross, of Great Falls, Montana; Mrs. F. Tooze, of Wilsonville, Clackamas county, and August Bachman, of Grant county. The remains will be brought to Salem on the 11 a.m. train today, and interment will be had in Rural cemetery. Funeral ceremonies will be conducted at the grave. All friends and acquaintances are invited to be present.
