December 30, 1959 - August 15, 2005

SALEM - Michael J. Mack, age 45, died Monday, August 15th at his residence of an apparent heart attack.
Michael, the youngest child of William and Della (Smith) Mack was born in Salem and, except for his residence in Idaho with the Job Corps, lived in Salem his entire life. For many years he was employed as a Single Copy Sales Representative for the Statesman Journal.
He is survived by his mother; eldest brother, William Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Salem; sister, Linda Tolento of Chehalis, Wash.; six nieces, four nephews, and seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William in 1982, and elder brothers, Dale in 1990 and Gary in 2004.
A memorial service and burial at Pioneer Cemetery will be held in late September. Family and friends wishing to attend may contact (503)365-8508. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
