Obituary of March 1, 1924 mentions that he was buried in the I.O.O.F cemetery.  He is not!  His burial took place in City View Cemtery and is a matter of record in the offices of City View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 390 Hoyt St. S., Salem, OR 97302  <info@city-view.org>.

OBITUARY: 
COPE -- At Seattle, Feb. 28th, Clare A. Cope, age 20 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Cope of Lodge Grass, Montana and brother of Miss Cathleen Cope of Grass Lodge, also a nephew of Mrs. B. M. Randall of Salem and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Abbott of Vancouver, Washington.  The remains will arrive Sunday morning, March 2, funeral services taking place Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Rigdon mortuary, interment I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
