OBITUARY: 
MUIR – At his home in North Salem, at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday July 14, 1897, S. R. Muir, Jr., aged 32 years, of consumption.
Deceased has been a resident of North Salem for the past nine years, coming to Oregon from Green River, Wyo. On August 4, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss Lucy A. Davis, who survives him. His father preceded him to the grave only two months ago, death resulting from the same cause.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Rev. Wm. Manning. The remains will be given interment in the family lot in Rural cemetery.
