OBITUARY:
At Brooks, Or., on Thursday, July 16, 1896, Mrs. Ellen Bercaw, aged 78 years.
Deceased had been in failing health for some time and died of old age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. G. Perkins. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, and removed from there in 1860, going to Denver, Colo. Later she came to Oregon, and in 1865 located near Albany. Two years ago she took up her residence with her daughter, remaining there until her death. The funeral will be conducted from the home of A. G. Perkins at 9 oclock this morning, Rev. T. F. Royal officiating. Interment in I.O.O.F. cemetery.
