OBITUARY: 

John T. Beyerle, 78, former longtime resident of Polk county, died at his home in Portland last Tuesday after an illness of a year. He had farmed for many years in the Smithfield community before moving away in 1941. 
Funeral services were Monday at 11 a.m. in the McGinnis and Wilhelm chapel, Portland. Private committal services were at Portland Memorial. 
Mr. Beyerle was born in Illinois August 15, 1874, and came to Oregon as a young man. He was married to Myrtle E. Sturgis December 12, 1900 in Turner. They came to the Smithfield community and lived there until 1941 when they moved to a home near Dolph. Three years ago they moved to Portland.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Myrtle E. Beyerle; five children, William Beyerle of Perrydale, Mrs. Earl S. Johnson of Portland, George Beyerle of Dallas, J. Richard Beyerle of Portland, James M. Beyerle of Ontario, and 11 grandchildren.
