OBITUARY: 
Joe Aiken, born Winchester, where he spent his boyhood days. Spent most of his life in Salem, associated with B. F. Talkington in liquor business and as a bartender. Left Salem three years ago and went to Pendleton and Baker City. Died of pneumonia last Thursday at Sumpter, aged 47 years, 1 month and 27 days. Buried in Salem. Survived by his wife. His only son, Bliss, accidently drowned last fall. His brother-in-law is John Hertz of Salem.
