OBITUARY: C. C. Brisbine fell dead this morning while working on a public road 7½ miles north of Salem. He was helping load a wagon and just as he pushed his spade into the ground he fell and was dead before those who were working near could reach him. His home was just east of Chemawa and he is survived by a wife and two sons, one of them a druggist in Portland. As yet no funeral arrangements have been mane. He was 59 years old last July.
