Oregon, d. Spokane, Washington of La Grippe, buried in lot 573 on 30 Apr 1891. OBITUARY:  BROWN -- At Spokane Falls, Monday, April 27, 1891, at 7 a.m., Anna Elizabeth Brown, of la grippe. Mrs. Brown, nee Lizzie Patterson, was born at New Concord, Ohio, March 10, 1857. She removed with her parents to Des Moines, Iowa, in 1865, thence to Salem in 1869, where she resided until April 20, 1880, where she was married to Geo. W. Brown, then of Salem. They removed to Portland, where they resided for several years, and about a year ago, on account of the health of their only child, a boy of 9 years of age they removed to Spokane Falls, where they have resided until now.  In December last Mrs. Brown visited Salem to attend the funeral of her only sister, Mrs. Thos. King. On returning home she took with her the infant child left by her sister. Mrs. J. M. Patterson, of The Dalles, was with Mrs. Brown at her death, and now has the care of the child left by Mrs. King. Mrs. Brown leaves her husband and one child, Walter, 10 years of age. Her only brother, J. M. Patterson, of The Dalles, and many warm friends, are left to mourn her departure.  The remains will arrive here on this (Wednesday) evening’s Albany express, and be taken to the residence of Thos.
