OBITUARY:  BURNETT--Walter Burnett is Dead After Influenza Attack. Walter Burnett, a motorman employed by the Oregon Electric Railway company, died of influenza at his home, 634 Ferry street, Sunday afternoon, and the funeral will be held from the chapel of Webb & Clough at 10:30 o’clock a.m. today, the Elks lodge conducting the service. Burial will be in Odd Fellows’ cemetery. He was employed on the Oregon Electric line between Salem and Portland and made his regular run a week before his death.  He is survived by his wife and two brothers, D. H. Burnett of Jefferson; J. N. Burnett of Aberdeen, Washington, and a half-brother, J. C. Lewis of Vancouver. He was a member of the Elks and the Masons.  Oregon Statesman, Dec. 10, 1918, 3:3.
