Burtis, age 68, occupation night watchman, b. Iowa, along with grandson Hebert Amos, age 17, b. Colorado, and grandson Alfred Amos, age 16, b. Colorado. DISCREPANCY - 1900 census indicates she was born in 1860, but marker gives year of birth as 1850, and her age given in the obituary is in kjeeping with 1850 as the year of her birth. OBITUARY:  Mrs. Mary E. Burtis, at the residence, 795 South 22 nd street, Sunday, February 23, at the age of 96 years.  Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clara Denny of Dionne, Ky., a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ruth E. Burtis of Waldport, Ore., six grandchildren, Alfred Vance Amos, and Henry Warren Amos of Stayton, Charles Vincent Burtis of Waldport, Laronia Mary Burtis, and Herbert W. Burtis, both of San Francisco, and Helen Frances Lewis of Kentucky; and three great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at the Clough-Barrick chapel Wednesday, February 26, at 10:30 a.m., with the Elder G.T.
