OBITUARY: 

Bushnell Rites to be Saturday
WOODBURN- Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday for Caroline Bushnell, 93, well known resident of Salem who died at a Salem convalescent home Wednesday noon, March 21 after a long illness.  For 52 years her home had been at 267 South Winter street.
A daughter of pioneer parents, shw was born on the donation land claim of Henry and Mary Ann Croisan, who came as bride and groom over the Oregon trail, November 20, 1851.
She was united with the early Baptist church as a girl, and later was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist church in Salem.
After he marriage to John Bushnell she lived a number of years in Prineville, returning with her family to Salem after her husband's death in 1889.
A son, George Bushnell died in 1938.  Survivors are two daughters, Ermine Fawks of Rickreall, and Nina J. Ringo of Woodburn; two grandchildren, Jack Stillman of Illinois and Lou Jame Cornwell of Woodburn; a sister, Clara Farmer and a brother, E. M. Croisan, both of Salem.

Bushnell
  Mrs. Caroline Bushnell, late resident of 267 South Winter st., Wednesday March 21, at a local hospital, aged 93 years.  Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ermine Fawk of Rickreall, sister Mrs. Ray Farmer of Salem; brother, Ed. M. Croisan of Salem. Survived also by two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, March 24, at 3 p.m. from Clough-Barrick chapel, Rev. F. C. Stannard officiating. Interment in IOOF cemetery.
