OBITUARY: 

Miss Oda L. Chapman, 88, 707 Cottage St NE, died Wednesday night at a Salem nursing home. Miss Chapman was a life-long Salem resident. For many years she was a bookkeeper for a hardware firm. She was a member of First Congregational Church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs Laura Chapman Mack, and three nieces, Mrs A.K. Parker, Mrs Jennie Pearce Erwin and Mrs Mem Pearce, all of Salem. Memorial services will be 2 pm Saturday at First Congregational Church, Rev W. Carl Calhoun officiating. Private interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery. Virgil T. Golden mortuary is in charge.
