Late resident of 1010 N. 14th in this city Feb. 24 at the age of 81 years. Husband of Catherine Churchill, Salem; brother of Eldon C. Churchill, Portland; Mrs. Mathel Kleen, Salem; uncle of Mrs. Dolf Craig, Salem; several nephews. Services will be held Mon., Feb. 27, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the W. T. Rigdon Co., The Rev. George H. Swift will officiate. Please omit flowers.

Services for Arthur Albert Churchill, who died Friday in a Salem hospital at the age of 81, will be 1:30 pm Monday in W.T. Rigdon’s chapel, the Rev George H. Swift officiating. Churchill was a Salem native and member of an Oregon pioneer family. Born Jan 25, 1875, he was a son of Enoch C. and Elvira Thomas Churchill. His father came to Oregon in the Joel Palmer train of 1847. His mother was one of the Thomas triplets born near Silverton in 1850. Churchill attended East Salem School and was employed here for a time before moving to Portland. He and Catherine J. Withycombe were married in Portland Feb 14, 1904. They lived in New Jersey while Churchill was employed in New York City. They returned to Salem in 1930 and Churchill was employed 20 years as electrician at Oregon State Hospital. His residence was 1010 N 14th St. He was a member of Pacific Lodge 50, AF&AM, for 52 years and St Paul’s Episcopal Church. Besides his widow, he leaves a sister, Mrs Mathel Keen, Salem; brother, Eldon C. Churchill, Portland; niece, Mrs Dolph Craig, Salem, and several nephews. The family requests that flowers be omitted at the services.
