OBITUARY: 
Reuben H. Ekin Victim of Spanish Influenza 
Reuben H. Ekin, a native of Salem and for a number of years a fireman at the mill of the Charles K. Spaulding Logging company, died Sunday at his home, 938 Trade Street, after a short illness with influenza. His wife and four small children are all stricken with the disease. All his life was spent in Salem and nearby vicinity. He is survived by two sisters, and one brother, besides his immediate family, who are Mrs. Mary A. Romer of Salem, Mrs. Jennie Joncrude of Cherryvale, and Charles Ekin of rural route 3, Sal em. The body is at the Rigdon establishment and as yet no funeral announcements have been made.

Ekin Funeral Today. The funeral of Ruben Ekin, who died at his home at 938 Trade street March 14 , will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, from the Rigdon chapel. Rev. H. N. Aldrich will officiate and burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
