OBITUARY: At her home, No. 221 Court street, Salem, Oregon, Friday, July 20 at 9:30 p. m., Mrs. Emma Farrar, aged 87 years, 2 months and 18 days, after an illness of about two months.
Deceased has lived in Salem for many years, where she has a large circle of warm and devoted friends. She was born in England, and came to the United States in 1848, settling in Massachusetts. In 1870, her sons having located in Oregon, she came to Salem, where she has since resided. She leaves two sons and one daughter, viz; Squire Farrar, John Farrar and Miss Lizzie Farrar, all of this city, to mourn her demise. Funeral arrangements will not be made until this evening, upon the arrival home of Squire Farrar, who is at Seal Rocks, and who was notified by telegraph last night of his mother's demise.
