L. C. FISHER ACCIDENTALLY KILLED AT PLACERVILLE, CAL.
L. C. Fisher, a resident of this vicinity for over half a century, was accidentally killed while hunting yesterday at Placerville, Cal. This meager information reached his nephew, Clare A. Vibbert, 340 Owens street yesterday.
The body will be brought to Salem. Nearly all of his life, Mr. Fisher had lived on the Fisher donation land claim, now known as Keizer bottom, about five miles north of Salem.
He was born December 18, 1848, and crossed the plains to Oregon with his parents in 1852. He came by ox team. About a year ago Mr. Fisher went to Placerville, where he has been prospecting in a mine. It is expected that the body will arrive in Salem either tomorrow or Saturday and the funeral will be held from the Webb & Clough chapel. Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mr. Fisher is survived by four sisters and one half-sister. They are: Mrs. B. F. Ramp of Brooks; Mrs. Sarah Irvine of Independence; Mrs. L. J. Vibbert, Salem; Mrs. J. S. Wyang of San Francisco, and Mrs. E. J. Robinson of The Dalles.
