Ethel M. Fletcher, at a local hospital, January 19, aged 57 years. Late resident of 1188 North Fourth street. Survived by nephew, Norman Fletcher of Salem; sister-in-law, Mrs. Katie Vent of Salem; cousins, E. B. Fletcher family of Salem and Hobart family of Silverton. Funeral services from the chapel of Clough-Barrick company; Wednesday, January 22, at 2 p.m. Rebekah ritualistic services at chapel. Interment I.O.O.F. cemetery. Dr. W. C. Kantner officiating.

ETHEL M. FLETCHER Funeral is Today -- Prominent Grange Worker Ill 17 Months; was Salem Native.
Funeral rites for Miss Ethel M. Fletcher, 57, prominently identified with grange work in the county prior to being stricken ill 17 months ago, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Clough-Barrick chapel, with Rebekah ritualistic services and Dr. W. C. Kantner officiating. 
Miss Fletcher died at a local hospital Sunday. Her home was at 1188 North 4th. Miss Fletcher was born in Salem, June 22, 1873, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Fletcher and grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Savage, all early settlers in this county. She was for many years secretary of Salem grange and at the time of her illness served as master. Her mother before her had served Salem grange as secretary for 25 years. Miss Fletcher was also a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Unitarian church. She was educated in the Salem schools and Willamette university and taught in Salem and at Lebanon. Surviving are a nephew, Norman Fletcher of Salem; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Kate Fletcher Vent of Salem; and cousins, the E. B. Fletcher family and the Scott Hobart family of Silverton.
