OBITUARY: 

Harold D. Forrest, 73, of 365 Moyer Lane NW, died Friday at a Salem hospital. Born in Lane, Kan, he lived in the Salem area 70 years. He retired about eight years ago after 30 years with what is now Boise Cascade paper mill, where he was a lead burner. Survivors include his widow, Josie, Salem; son Sgt Major James H. Forrest, Ft Lewis, Wash; daughter Mrs Paulina M. Conley, Milford, Ohio; sisters Mrs Florence Woodruff, San Jose, Calif, and Mrs Olive Hervey, Prospect; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending at Virgil T. Golden mortuary.
