Lee Evanoff Found After Being Dead Two Days
Believed Insane
Two days after he had committed suicide by cutting his threat with a razor, Lee Evanoff, a stranger, about 26 years old, was found dead in one of the rooms on the second floor of the Women’s Christian Temperance union headquarters at 201 South Commercial Street, late yesterday. There is no clue to his address except a card found in a pocket asking that M. Gerassin, 304 Madison street, Portland, be notified. Word has been sent the address. The body is at the Webb & Clough undertaking establishment, where it was taken when found.
Act Thought Insane
Evanoff came to Salem a few days ago to visit a brother who is in the Oregon state hospital. His suicide is thought to have been caused by insanity. No inquest will be held.
