OBITUARY: 
Angeline Kays Called by Death. 
Long Resident of Howell Prairie Succumbs at Age of 56 Years. 
Miss Angeline Kays passed away at 5:45 o’clock Monday morning at the home of her brother, Thomas H. B. Kays of 1645 Twelfth street at the age of 56 years. Death was due to asthma. Miss Kays was born at Howell Prairie near Pratum on November 9, 1863 and during her life she made her home in this vicinity. 
Until recently she made her home with Mrs. Louis Bechtel of Howell Prairie. The deceased leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Mrs. Martha Howard of Portland and Mrs. Nettie Howard of Eugene, and two brothers Thomas H. B. Kays and Jack Kays, both of Salem. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. 
The funeral services will be held from the Webb & Clough chapel Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. W.C. Kantner conducting them. The burial will take place in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

The funeral services of Miss Angeline Kays will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the chapel of Webb & Clough. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev. W. C. Kantner. Miss Kays was born at Howell Prairie near Pratum Nov. 9, 1863, and until recently, made her home in that vicinity. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Martha Howard of Portland and Mrs. Nellie Howard of Eugene, and two brothers, Thomas H. B. Kays and Jack Kays both of Salem.
