OBITUARY: M'DONALD - At the home of the mother of the deceased, on Front street, near State, Salem, Or., on Wednesday, July 11, 1900, at 10 p.m., Freddie McDonald, aged 19 years, of consumption of the bowels. Deceased was well known in Salem, where he has spent his life, and has for years been on the streets as newsboy and bootblack. he was a rather bright boy, but the unfortunate mix of races left him little hope of a successful career.
