1905 Census of Liberty pct., Marion Co., Oregon shows Jacob Minck (sic) age 54, b. Indiana, Angeline age 40 b. Oregon and children all b. in Oregon: Elmer age 18, Ethel age 16, Inez age 12, Leroy age 10, and Ted age 3.
OBITUARY: 
JACOB P. MINCH PASSES BEYOND. 
Resident of Willamette Valley Since 1876 Dies at Hospital Here. 
Jacob Philip Minch, who had made his home in the Willamette valley since 1878, died Sunday night at 6:30 o'clock at the Deaconess hospital. 
Mr. Minch was born November 13, 1850 at LaPorte, Ind. He came to Baker City, Or., in 1871, overland from Ogden, Utah. From 1871 to 1876 he was located in Union and Baker counties, making his home at Union. He came to the Willamette valley in 1876 and settled at Buena Vista, later moving to Jefferson. 
In 1888 he was married to Angeline Doty, member of the well-known pioneer family of Jefferson. He lived in the Liberty section seven miles south of Salem on his home farm for 22 years preceding his death. 
Mr. Minch is survived by the following: his wife, Mrs. Angeline Doty Minch, Salem, Route 3; three sons, Elmer D. Minch, Roy L. Minch, and Harley P. Minch, all living on Route 3: two daughters, Mrs. Inez Wilson, Blogett, Or., and Mrs. Paul H. Spillman, La Grand, and two grandchildren. 
The funeral will be held from the Rigdon undertaking parlors Thursday, December 26, at 1:30 o'clock.

Minch Funeral Tomorrow. The funeral of the late Jacob P. Minch, who died Sunday night at the Deaconess Hospital will be held from the funeral chapel of the Rigdon company tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. R. N. Avison will conduct the service and burial will be in City View Cemetery (sic).
