OBITUARY:
VERY SICK -- A carpenter named Thos. Holvey was working at the Indian school a few days since and accidentally broke the skin on the back of his hand in a very small spot, but he took no notice of the scratch.  A few days later, however, his hand began to swell and pain him, and the swelling and pains soon spread to his arm. The doctors pronounced the trouble erysipelas, and say that the young man may be expected to die now at most any time. He is an Odd Fellow in good standing and came to this city from Ohio about a year ago. He is lying at the residence of Capt. D. C. Howard, on Marion street, East Salem.
