DISCREPANCY: C. M. Mitoma was the owner of the hop yard where Kozaemon Ishida died and the newspaper item uses the Mitoma name rather than the Ishida name in error. C. M. Mitoma arranged for the burial. Charlie Matsuda was a partner with Chotaro M. Mitoma and operated the hop yard near Independence, Oregon. Chotaro M. Mitoma was sent from Stockton, California by the Horst Company Hop Growers, sometime before 1910 to start a hop farming operation. Kozaemon's death certificate shows his first name with the Koyemon spelling.
