OBITUARY: 

Edith L. Patton, 89, 440 Leslie St. SE, died Thursday in a Salem hospital. She was born in Portland and taught in the Portland public schools several years as a young woman. She came to Salem in 1914. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Survivors include daughter Mrs. Marie Hagemann, Salem; sister Mrs. Alice Hatton, Portland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Virgil T. Golden mortuary, Rev. George H. Swift officiating. Interment will be in Cook Mausoleum.
