OBITUARY: DAUGHTER OF SALEM EX-MAYOR IS DEAD.
OLIVE A. HASSELL PASSES AWAY AT HER HOME IN OAKLAND, CAL.
Died at her home in Oakland, Cal., Saturday, October 9, Olive A. Hassell, beloved wife of Horace F. Hassell, loving daughter of Mrs. Lydia A. Kelly, Salem, Or., sister of Fred J. Kelly, Portland, Or., Mrs. Gertrude Plummer, Portland, Or., Edw. Kelly, Oakland, Ca.
Mrs. Hassell was a native of Salem, Or., a daughter of the late Andrew Kelly, ex-mayor of Salem. She was aged 32 years 8 months and 10 days.
The body of Mrs. Hassell will arrive in this city on the early morning train Wednesday and the funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from Clough's undertaking parlors. The Rev. Paul S. Bandy will deliver the funeral sermon. The deceased was a member of the Unitarian church.

Goes to Final Rest
The funeral of Mrs. Olive A. Hassell, wife of Horace E. Hassell, of Oakland, Cal., and daughter of Mrs. Andrew Kelly, took place yesterday from Clough’s parlors, under the auspices of the Unitarian church. The floral offerings from San Francisco, Oakland, Portland and Salem friends were many and beautiful. The pallbearers were Benj. Taylor, John Knight, Joseph Baker, J. W. Cox, A. J. Basey and H. Pohle. Mrs. Hassell was laid to rest in the family plot in I. O. O. F. cemetery.
