TERWILLIGER - died at Salem Lodging House Marion County Burial OBITUARY:  SAWYER DIES BY MORPHINE.  Stranger Found Dead on Floor at Salem Lodging House.  Found dead on the floor of his room at the Salem lodging house, a man who had registered as I. Sawyer the evening before, was discovered by the proprietor at 9:30 yesterday morning, although he had been dead some hours.  In the room was a bottle of morphine from which a considerable amount had been taken, and a partly emptied bottle of whiskey. The man was about 50 years of age and was dressed as a laboring man. In his pocket was a notebook containing the name of C. Knauss, but nothing to show where the man came from. Coroner Clough was called but considered an inquest unnecessary.
