OBITUARY: SERVICES FOR GEORGE KASPAR SET SATURDAY NEWBERG
Funeral services for George Kaspar, 72, a rural Newberg farmer since 1932, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the W. T. Rigdon funeral home, Salem. Kaspar, husband of the former Lucy Dencer of Salem, died Wednesday. He was born July 24, 1882 in Lithuania and came to this country when a small boy. Before moving to Oregon coast he lived in Connecticut, New York and Wisconsin. He married in 1932, settling in Newberg where he took up farming. Prior to that he was a millwright. He served in the U.S. Army from 1908 to 1911. Rev. John L. Cauble will officiate at the services. Cremation will follow.
