Demarest, 93, of Salem, died Tuesday. She was born in Brooks and graduated from Salem High School. She lived in the Salem area all of her life. She worked for Social Security in Salem for 15 years. Survivors include her daughter, Clarice Anunsen of Salem, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. No services will be held, and interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
