OBITUARY: 
In this city, Saturday morning, March 29th, 246 S. Cottage street, Wylie A. Moores native of Salem, age 62 years, brother of Ross E. and Carroll L. Moores. Mr. Moores was city recorder of Salem from 1905 to 1911, also formerly served as secretary of the state fair board, clerk of the Salem school board and also as clerk of the woodmen of the World lodge here, of which he was a member. Was a member of Portland lodge No. 142 B.P.O.Elks. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 30th at 11 a.m. from the Rigdon mortuary, under the auspices of Salem lodge of Elks. The remains will be taken to the Mt. Scott crematorium in Portland for final disposition.

Wylie A Moores, a Salem pioneer, died this morning at the home of Charles F. Elgin, a brother in-law, at the age of 62 years. Mr. Moores was active in the civic life of the city for a number of years. He served as city recorder for six years, was at one time secretary of the state fair board, clerk of the Woodmen of the World lodge here, and clerk of the Salem school board. Mr. Moores lived here until about seven years ago when he moved to Portland where he served as deputy county clerk. Last June his health failed and he came to Salem. Two brothers survive. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'’lock from the Rigdon mortuary.
