OBITUARY: DIED -
EGAN - At her home, Mt. View Farm, Gervais, Or., Tuesday March 10, 1914, Julia B. Egan, wife of William H. Egan, and beloved mother of Albert J. Egan of Gervais, Or., Mrs. J. M. Rothchilds of Portland, Or., and Homer W. Egan of Gervais, Or. The funeral will be held Thursday March 12, from St. Joseph's Catholic church, Salem, with requiem high mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at the Catholic cemetery of this city.
Mrs. Egan was the daughter of James and Johanna Coffey. She was born in Salem on the 21st day of October 1868, and received her education at the Sacred Heart Academy of this city, being graduated from that institution in 1886.
On December 27, 1886, at Salem, Mrs. Egan was united in marriage with William H. Egan, a pioneer of this county and state. Mrs. Egan was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, United Artisans, Grange and many other prominent societies.
The deceased was a woman of broad activities, possising unusual mental ability, blessed with an earn-
